Students will explore the Easter Triduum, the most sacred period of the liturgical year. While students are familiar with the events of Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil, their focus this year shifts toward a deeper Trinitarian perspective. They will investigate how Jesus, as the Second Person of the Trinity, remains of one being with the Father. Through Scripture and liturgy, students will reflect on how the Father’s love, the Son’s sacrifice, and the Holy Spirit’s life-giving power are inextricably linked. 

The goal is for students to see the Triduum not just as a historical memory, but as a living celebration of the mystery of the Triune God.

Following their study of the Easter season, students will then be exploring the transformative power of the Holy Spirit. This unit, "The Holy Spirit as Teacher and Advocate," focuses on the Feast of Pentecost and the baptismal call. Students begin by reflecting on Baptism, the moment people are first welcomed into the life of the Trinity "in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit." Students will investigate how the Holy Spirit acts as a 'Paraclete' - a helper and advocate - who stays with them to teach and remind them of Jesus’ words. A central part of their prayer life will be a deep dive into the Glory Be, a prayer that celebrates the eternal equality and glory of the three divine persons.
