Junior School Report
Mr Nicholas Heading
Term 2 is steadily coming to an end, and I know we are all eager for the well-deserved mid-year break. Continue striving for excellence with your end of semester assessments, checking-in with your teachers, and showing the school value of aspiration.
Winter has truly arrived! We are seeing students rugged up and doing their best to stay warm in the chilly mornings. Reminder that students must wear school branded scarves and beanies. School jackets and jumpers are also required rather than hoodies. If you need to buy any new uniform (or school scarves and beanies to stay warm) then the uniform shop is open on-site on Monday afternoons from 1:00 to 4:00. Parents are welcome to come to the uniform shop too, they just need to sign in at the front office first. We have plenty of donated second-hand clothes from families as well. Just drop by the Junior School offices in the upper-MP building and we can help out. Lastly, if students are out of uniform, please provide a note or send an email to the school.
School production is gearing up for their performances at the start of Term 3. It has been inspiring to watch how hard everyone has been working. Lots of Junior School students are involved, both on and off the stage, and the development of talent for Greensborough College’s school productions into the future is exciting to see. Tickets will go on sale soon so keep an eye out for updates.
Looking ahead to Term 3 for Junior School, everyone will get a swap in electives. This is especially exciting for our Year 7s who get to try the kitchens, manual technology rooms, drama space, etc. for the first time! High school is all about opening up new experiences and opportunities and there is so much to look forward to in Term 3.
Stay warm, stay well!
