MUSIC Program
Frankston High School Instrumental Music Program
Recently, Music teachers showed every Year 7 class the different instruments students can learn at Frankston High School. Our Senior Concert Band also performed an amazing concert for all Year 7 classes in the Performing Arts Theatre (PAT). We are currently recruiting for our Year 7 Training Band and our Music Information Night will be on at 7.00pm next Tuesday 5 March in the PAT. A reminder this band is for students who have had little or no experience in a concert band setting.
Instruments we offer:
Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet,
Trombone, Percussion and Bass.
What this means:
- Weekly rehearsals every Wednesday for Year 7 students from 3.30-4:30pm.
- Dedicated lessons with instrument specialists.
- Multiple performances throughout the year at school and around Melbourne.
- Students gain a wide range of cognitive and social benefits through studying an instrument and playing in a band.
