HAPPY ANNIVERSARY SUSONO AND FRANKSTON!

裾野とフランクストン、記念日おめでとうございます!

On 22 February) was the 42nd anniversary of our sister city relationship which officially commenced in 1982 after delegation visits to each city occurred the previous year.

In that time there have been many delegation tours, homestay visits, student exchanges, Festivals and Fairs, speech contests, Welcome and Farewell Parties, ceremonies, music, dancing and so much more.

Our first post-COVID delegation visit was held in October 2023 when 36 Frankston delegates were warmly welcomed back to Susono for four wonderful days, which included a very successful Australian Fair!

The friendships developed remain as strong as ever, due in no small part to the fact that the relationship is managed by passionate, volunteer citizens in both cities, plus the on-going support of Frankston and Susono City Councils.

Happy anniversary, and here's to many more!

A link to our Facebook Page and photos of the 2023 delegation visit can be accessed HERE.

Warm regards
