Waste Warriors

Hi, we’re your Jells Park Waste Warriors for this semester 2.

Let us tell you about what we stand for. 

We’re all here because we love the environment, that’s why we strongly believe that we’ll make great representatives.  

This semester we are focusing on reducing energy consumption.  

This semester we will be full of activities. 

We will be visiting Edendale Farm in Eltham to participate in energy workshops. 

We hope to bring what we have learned back to school. We will also be resurfacing the veggie patch and installing new planter boxes.  

Most of the electricity we use is created by burning fossil fuels like coal and gas.

Some ways for you to save energy at home include

• Unplugging power sources
• Turning off lights when not needed
• Use less hot water
• Use natural light
• Turn the outlet off when not needed
