What's Happening in the Art Room? 🎨
Term 3 was a whirlwind of clay creations, Father's Day art and imaginative 3D sculptures. Students explored a variety of everyday materials, including egg cartons, wire, beads and textured materials, to bring their creative ideas to life.
We have kicked off Term 4 with a whole school collaborative collage mural, proudly displayed on the Art Room windows. If you're in the area, please wander past and have a look. The students have been so excited to spot their own contributions and see how their individual pieces have come together to create something beautiful.
As the term progresses, we will continue exploring sculpture using materials such as foil and beads, experiment with printmaking, learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, and of course, finish the year with some festive Christmas creations.
A big thank you to everyone who has generously donated beads to the Art Room. Your contributions are greatly appreciated and will be put to wonderful creative use.
We are also beginning the term with an exciting Dream Car Drawing Competition, which students will complete during their Art lessons. This initiative through Toyota, has also meant extra art supplies for our classroom and the opportunity to be in the running for some exceptional prizes.
We can't wait to see what our young artists create this term and look forward to sharing their wonderful work with you.
