Pathways
Our recent Lunch & Learn series has given students powerful insights into the many different ways a career journey can unfold, with CCC alumnae Kaylee Moorfield (Class of 2018) and Tahlia Rando (Class of 2021), alongside Flight Lieutenant Grace from the Royal Australian Air Force, sharing their experiences and advice. Kaylee reminded students that they don’t need to know what they want to be in 10 years, sharing how her own twists and turns eventually led her to a rewarding career as a Speech Pathologist. Tahlia encouraged students to focus not just on what they might do, but on the person they want to become, highlighting the importance of curiosity, adaptability, creativity and the people who help shape our journey. Grace provided a fascinating insight into life in the RAAF, showcasing the diverse entry pathways, training, education and career opportunities available through the ADF - and the huge number of questions from students demonstrated their enthusiasm to explore what might be possible. Together, these sessions delivered a powerful message: there is no single “right” pathway, and by staying curious, embracing opportunities and being open to change, students can discover possibilities they may not have imagined.
As we get closer to graduation, we’re here to help Year 12 navigate whatever comes next - whether that’s uni, TAFE, college, work, an apprenticeship or traineeship, a gap year, or something completely different.
We’re very excited to celebrate that our Year 12 students have already started receiving Early Entry offers from universities across Sydney and NSW, with more than 80 conditional offers received so far! 34 students have already received offers across a diverse range of degrees, including: Nursing, Exercise and Sport Science, Business, Law, Education, Engineering, Health Science, Psychology, Medical Science, Music, Design, International Studies and Communication & Media. Our students have received offers from a fantastic range of institutions, including Macquarie University, WSU, UNE, ACU, University of Notre Dame, UNSW, Avondale and Torrens. It’s wonderful to see the hard work, commitment and aspirations of our Year 12 students being recognised as they begin to secure exciting opportunities for life beyond CCC. Of course, the job isn’t over yet – these offers are conditional on successful completion of the HSC, so we want to see every student finish their courses strongly and give their very best right through to the finish line. The 2027 CSPD Teacher Scholarship Program is now open to Year 12 2026 graduates commencing a full-time Primary or Secondary teaching degree, with 30 scholarships available in priority teaching areas including TAS, Religious Education, Mathematics, Science and Primary Education (pursuing RE Accreditation). Successful applicants will receive $5,000 per year, a new laptop, paid employment opportunities in CSPD schools, mentoring and development, and priority employment pathways after graduation. Applications close Sunday, 8 November 2026, with applicants required to submit a resume, professional reference and ATAR results, followed by an interview as part of the selection process.
