2023

KICKING OFF 2023.

2022 saw Epsom take on the HPV category for the very first time along with two incredible pushcart teams. After the incredible success of last year we are going bigger and better once again as we look to select our new fast and furious crew for 2023.

TRYOUTS. 

HPV tryouts have begun. We had a great turn out with over 50 students turning up last week. This term we will be testing students overall fitness and endurance skills as well as their ability to control the HPV in a safe manner at speed. Students will be invited for a trial ride on Thursdays in school time, and after (time permitting) to showcase their speed and safety. 

'In school' fitness will also be held on Wednesday and Thursday lunchtimes. This is a test of their endurance and the top endurance runners will be chosen to take the next step in try-outs.

TEAM POSITIONS: We will be looking to select 5 girls and 5 boys for our grade 5 team, and 2 girls and 2 boys for our grade 6 team as per the team rules set by Energy Breakthrough. There will also be 2 reserve positions for each team.
