VISUAL ARTS

Welcome to a new year and a new look Art room. Term 1 is going to be a great launching pad into all things Visual Arts, as each year level begins their first unit of work. This term there is a focus on skill development alongside our creation of art.

This year, our grade 6 students have their very own visual diary that will track and record all of their art learning this year. From collages, color and the study of artists. Our students won't be short of content or skill to keep them engaged in the art room. - Mr.P

MUSIC

Students in Grade 4-6 have been introduced to our 2023 EPS Production topic (more to come on this soon, parents and families!) as well as beginning our taste tester sessions on many different instruments, starting with ukuleles.

The Grade 1/2 students have also been strumming away at their ukes and learning how bars of music work when playing call and response pieces.

Prep students have had a tour of the Music room and are exploring ways to move to the beat of the music they hear.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION

A big welcome to PE for all our students and families. I'm looking forward to being back in PE for 2023. We've got lots of fun stuff coming up this term, including swimming lessons for grade 3-6 students, District Volleyball and swimming, a visit from the North Melbourne Football club last week and some athletics practise for term 2. We have been busily working on our teamwork skills this week, due to privacy reasons we are not yet able to share photos of students faces, but here are a few sneak peaks.
