Mother’s Day Celebrations
Our Mother’s Day stall was held on May 5th this year where students were given the opportunity to shop for a present for mum. The choice of gifts was terrific, and we would like to thank Melanie Inglis for selecting and ordering the gifts for the stall this year. We would also like to thank Tracey Lees for taking on the tremendous task of organising and running the event. She has taken on the responsibility of looking after both Mother’s Day and Father’s Day stalls for the last 5 years and she does a superb job at it. We would of course also like to thank all the fabulous mums and dads who volunteered to assist at the event. Without your help, this would not have been possible.
We hope all the Kingswood mums, grandmothers and special carers enjoyed Mother’s Day and their gifts. The celebrations are not over yet. Due to Covid-19 restrictions on school grounds, we are having a Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea on Sunday 23rd of May at 3pm at Oscar’s Hangout. This is an opportunity for the exceptional females of Kingswood to relax and meet other Kingswood Primary School mums. This will be an adult-only event. Please ensure you book so you don’t miss out. Please see Compass for more information.
Disco
The Kingswood Disco is back! Kingswood Primary School students will be able to groove on the dancefloor with classmates and friends at a Rainbow themed disco.
The Seniors will start things off on the 27th of May followed by the Juniors on the 28th of May. The disco will run over lunchtime, students will be given time to have their lunch prior to the disco. $6 will get them entry into the disco, the students will receive a glow stick, neon body paint stations and an icy pole at the end to cool down.
This is a free dress day and we encourage students to dress in rainbow colours.
Tickets are available right now via Compass.
The Disco working party ran a poster competition to get the students involved and excited about the disco. There was one winner selected from the Junior school and another from the Senior school. The winners will receive a free ticket to the disco and will have copies of their poster used as marketing material around the school. The Student Representative Council were asked to select the winners.
The Junior school winner was Adriana 1N
The Senior school winner was Lindsay 6W.
