Performing Arts

It has been a tremendously productive and successful time for our performing arts students recently. Our band, ‘The Common Boys’

competed in the national final of the ‘Rockfest,’ battle of the bands. This is the first time Cranbourne Secondary College has made it past our heat and we were incredibly proud just to be there. We were elated to take out the honour of best individual singer, for Sarah Santos.

As has been the case for the past few years, Cranbourne Secondary College students performed on an arena stage as part of the State Schools Spectacular. We were again proud to be represented by some of our most talented students, Joseph Stewart and Rahni Whiteman.

Keep an eye out for the telecast!

Our school rock group the Common Boys delivered a powerhouse display at the Templestowe College who  hosted the Battle of the Bands final. They played an amazing set of four songs that brought the hall to their feet in awe  of  their assured performance. They took out the best singing category. Sarah Santos was  awarded this  for what was an impressive and uplifting vocal  performance.  I am so proud of this band. They have a beautiful chemistry and have achieved amazing accomplishments at the finals this year. Josh Mitchell has given them great support. Roadie, Manager and engineer. This has been a great treat to come out here and see them perform. The  kids at Cranbourne Secondary College rock hard.
