PRINCIPALS REPORT

As Term 3 gradually comes to an end, I am reminded of the change of seasons as we leave the Winter behind and look forward to longer and warmer days ahead. This time of the year reminds me that footy finals are being played, lawns are being tendered to and NAPLAN results are out.

While I don't want to over state the importance of NAPLAN ,I am pleased to report that our school results were the best they have been in many years. Learning growth between Years 7-9 indicates that our students have experienced significant learning improvement, which reflects on the great work of teachers and the hard work of students. In fact, in most areas of the testing, our students experienced learning growth well above State levels. This is something for all our School Community to celebrate, and is an endorsement of the Schools relentless focus on teaching and learning which now is showing signs of success.

On that positive note, I wish to thank all staff and students for their hard work and dedication this term, and I hope everyone can enjoy 2 weeks of well deserved holidays.

I hope you enjoy our newsletter.
