From the Boarding Captains

Term Three

As Term Three arrived, the panic began to settle in with the Year Twelve boarding students. In Eclipse House, the boys have been cracking down and working hard to achieve the highest possible results they can. This doesn’t mean, however, that it’s all work and no play in the house as as we manage to fit in many fun activities.

In Week Three, we were blessed to have Head Boy, Samuel O’Dea, stay a week in boarding to experience what it is like to be a boarder, first-hand. He participated in the everyday routines, including breakfast, lunch and dinner, enjoying it mostly. Sam spent a majority of his time either studying, at football training or chilling with Robert. Nevertheless, as with all boarders, his highlight was going home to be with his family and have complete freedom over his life once more.

On 18 August, Eclipse House participated in the annual Boardings' Got Talent, hungry for victory, however, Anchorage House won. Despite our second place finish, the 23 hours of preparation were thorough and enjoyable. I will forever cherish the memories, laughs and fun all of us had at 8.00pm the night before the performance as we danced and cooperated to finish our final piece.  The night was a great success.

That’s Term Three so far. We hope all you are all going well.
