Hi Bundoora Community,

For term 1 the Social Enterprise Program raised money and awareness for States School Relief. All profits from our Café that runs each morning and from our Pop Up Disco BBQ were donated to this organisation. For the term we managed to make a $2,445.31 profit. All these funds were donated to States School Relief.

On Friday 5th May we had the privilege of Dr Brenda Holt from States School Relief attend our assembly. Dr Holt explained to the school community how the money donated to States School Relief will be used to help support over 70,000 students across Victoria.

For this term the Social Enterprise program is holding a food drive to support Diamond Valley Foodshare. The food drive will run until May 31st. It would be greatly appreciated if we can have donations of non-perishable items such as canned food, cereal products and pasta. All food donated will be collected at the end of May and will be used in food hampers that will be donated to families in the Banyule and Nillumbik areas.

As well as running the food drive all profits from the café and other Social Enterprise events will be donated to Diamond Valley Foodshare at the end of the term.

Once again the Social Enterprise Team would like to thank everyone for your support.

During Term 2, our charity for Social Enterprise was Diamond Valley FoodShare. Every year BPS raises food to donate to Diamond Valley FoodShare. For the whole month of May and a week after as well we raised over 2000 items to donate.

This year we raised food in our different houses. La Trobe won and will get a free dress day and a free Zooper Dooper, on Thursday 22nd June.

Diamond Valley FoodShare is very grateful for our donations. Thank you again to everyone who brought items in. Next term our charity is Big Group Hug and we are excited to explain more.
