OUR STARS!
PLC Celebration at Bundoora
Our teachers met last week to share and celebrate our most recently completed PLC (professional learning communities) cycles. This is an approach our school uses for staff to work collaboratively and improve student outcomes.
At BPS we are committed to creating a culture to continually improve teacher practice. Our Term 1 PLC cycles focused on writing, which involved identifying student learning needs through analysing data and student work samples, researching and implementing best practice, and completing peer observations.
This is all done to ensure our teaching has the greatest impact on learning. It was wonderful to celebrate the accomplishments and successes of the recent cycles. The room was a buzz of excitement and enthusiasm to see how much growth the students had made.
We are so lucky to have such passionate teachers who are committed to sharing their ideas and findings and embedding these into their future classroom practice.
