The Year 2’s were very excited to attend their first excursion for the year on Wednesday the 14th of June! After a long, but very exciting bus ride, we finally arrived at the Melbourne Aquarium. We were lucky enough to have a guided tour and get some inside information from the lovely Aquarium staff.

We saw many different types of jelly fish, a spectacular new digital experience called ‘Submerged’, a huge saltwater crocodile weighing over 750kg, as well as penguins, lizards, frogs, snakes, turtles, sea dragons, mudskippers, starfish, fish and a giant crab! The Year 2’s had such a fun day and enjoyed learning further information about habitats, water conservation and living things to complement our current Discovery Topic.

We would also like to take this opportunity to say a very big thank you to the amazing Miss Giles! We have loved having you in the Year 2 team this year, you have made our classroom such a fun and vibrant place to be and we will miss you so much! We hope you have an amazing trip!

Lots of love,

From the Year 2’s, Ms Mav, Ms H and Miss T 😊
