6 Hour Sports

The annual Round Square Committee 6 Hour Sports event was held last week on the 28th May.

It was an amazing event with a total of eleven teams entering the competition for a full six hours of volleyball, netball and dodgeball. The participation and enthusiasm of each team throughout the night was fantastic to see, as was the creativeness of the team names and costumes.

After an epic night of competition, it came down to a battle between The School Girls and The Badgers in a game of volleyball for a spot in the grand finals. After a close game it was The School Girls who were the victors earning themselves a place in the final.

The final teams battling it out to claim victory were The School Girls and The Lost Dads in a game of volleyball. Both teams fought long and hard and in the end it was The School Girls who emerged as the victors and the champions of the 2021 Round Square 6 Hour Sports.

Prizes were also awarded to the best dressed team which were the Tropicanas.

Best player was awarded to Year 8 McKay House student Lekisha Nelson. Congratulations Lekisha.

I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone involved in the organisation of this event, specifically to SPC staff and the Round Square committee. I would also like to thank all of the parents and guardians who came down to support all of the teams!

Finally, well done to everyone who participated in this year’s 6 Hour Sports and made it such a wonderful event!

I hope to see you all participate again next year!
