Year 7 Discovery Expedition

Year 7 Students have been out and about in the West MacDonnell Ranges over the last two weeks.

Starting at Simpson's Gap they walked 10km to Wallaby Gap where they spent two nights (many of them under the stars enjoying a lunar eclipse), 1/2 day abseiling off a cliff within Wallaby Gap (up to five times for those who dared), 1/2 day of orienteering to ensure that they do not get geographically embarrassed on future expeditions, then mountain biking to the Desert Park on the way back to the College on the 3rd day.

Please note that some groups did do this in the reverse order as there were six separate camp groups during the week and a half. These Year 7 students and staff threw themselves at 'Discovery' with huge amounts of energy and aspired as the temperatures have dropped to complete the first stage of their expeditions at SPC.

Year 11 Leadership Course is just around the corner, so be sure to get ready for that one Year 11 students and parents.
