PRIME MINISTER’S LITERARY AWARDS

Last week the Prime Minister’s Literary Awards shortlist was announced.  The awards celebrate literary talent in Australia and the valuable contribution Australian writing makes to the nation’s cultural and literary life. There were more than 470 entries narrowed down to a short list of just 30 titles.

 

In the young adult literature category, the shortlist included:

  • The F Team by Rawah Arja
  • The End of the World is Bigger than Love by Davina Bell
  • When the Rain turns to Snow by Jane Godwin
  • Metal Fish, Falling Snow by Cath Moore
  • Loner by Georgina Young

This beginner’s A-Z of AI guide is a collaboration between the Oxford Internet Institute at the University of Oxford and Google, intended to break a complex area of computer science down into entry-level explanations that will help anyone get their bearings and understand the basics.

Map Maker is National Geographic’s free, easy to use mapping tool.

REMINDERS

Just a few reminders for students returning to the library:

  • Please remember to bring your student card for borrowing and printing;
  • Please leave your bags in the foyer;
  • Remember, no food in the Library.
