Climate Canons

Enviroweek and Pollinator Week

The Climate Canons have a busy Term 4 with a number of exciting projects happening. During Enviroweek, 21-27 October, students participated in quizzes to win some great prizes for their homerooms and a better understand our impacts on our beautiful world.

Coming up we have Australian Pollinator Week, 8-15 November and National Recycling Week, 9-15 November, where the Climate Canons will be engaging in activities at lunchtime for all students to join in and promoting our Wands for Wildlife and Writing Instruments Recycling Programs. The Climate Canons will also be running an art competition for National Recycling Week, where students will be invited to create pieces of art out of recycled materials, with prizes to be won. More information will be sent to students next week.

We are also teaming up again with the City of Canning for an E-waste Collection, hosted here at the College on Saturday 5 December in the Xanten Performing Arts car park. More information will be sent to students and parents/guardians via direct message.

Thank you to the College community for their ongoing support of the Climate Canons. Every little action counts. What will be your action towards a sustainable future?
