School Review
This year our school undertakes a School Review. School Reviews are conducted every four years and culminate in the writing of our next four-year Strategic Plan.
The first part of the review process is for us to complete a school self-evaluation which asks us to assess school achievement against the current Strategic Plan, to reflect on what the school has done well and what the school should focus on in the future. The self-evaluation phase involves focus groups of staff, students and parents. School Council will play a key role in providing feedback and in seeking feedback from the broader parent community in Terms 2 and 3.
The second part of the review process is to hold a two day review which is led by an independent reviewer. This will take into consideration the self-evaluation and feedback collected.
The third part of the process is to write the next Strategic Plan (2019-2022). I look forward to providing updates on the process and opportunities for you to attend parent forums.
BSC Athletics Carnival
The recent Athletics Day was a great celebration of sporting talent and comraderie.
Following the Carnival, many staff and students commented on the great support students showed one another as they competed as well as the willingness of students to participate in the events. There were some outstanding individual sporting talents on display across all the track and field events along with great Brunswick Spirit - so it was a highly successful Athletics Carnival.
Thank you to Sports Coordinator, Richard Andrew, for his managment of the day.
