CHESS COMPETITION

Interschool Competition

On Tuesday 27 August, 8 students from Years 7 to 12 represented Lilydale High School at an Interschool Chess Competition at Kingswood College, in Box Hill.

Peter Paladino achieved a Bronze in the Year 9 and 10 Division and qualified for the State Finals in Term 4.

Seth Horsley achieved a Silver and Ethan Gray, a Bronze in the Year 11 and 12 Division.

Other members of the school team; Riley Trow-Tonkin, Ruben Andrews, Thomas Matthews, Sean McDonnell and Ethan Reese played well on day, all achieving 2 or more victories against stiff competition.

Of the 13 schools attending, the Lilydale High School team, placed 6th overall.
