- CAVE -

On Wednesday 28 August, students from 7C tested out the NEW VR Units in the CAVE, for the first time.

They were experiencing a realistic simulation of the International Space Station, to learn firsthand about what it is like to live in microgravity above Earth.

The room was filled with cries of ‘Wow!’, ‘I can’t believe this!’ and ‘I’m going to be an astronaut now!’.

The students were using Oculus Quest VR Units, that cast to android tablets, so other students can see what is being experienced in VR. This makes it collaborative and THAT, is where the magic happens in education!

Health & Wellbeing Day

Thursday 18 September

As part of our Wellbeing Program for students, we have introduced a full day that will be dedicated to working with our Year 8 students on many aspects of their own health and wellbeing.

Students will have the opportunity to sign up to a number of activities throughout the day.  Some activities have limited numbers and may require parent consent on Compass.

Year 8 students may wear free dress, however attire must be appropriate for physical activities.

A healthy lunch option is available at a cost of $5.  Please pay via Compass, by Friday 13 September.

Should students elect not to be part of the lunch-order component, will need to provide their own lunch.

On this day, students may choose to bring a donation.  There will be three charities they can select to donate to. This forms our ‘Being Part of Our Community’ component.  This not only makes students more aware of these charities within their area, it also allows them to actively participate in supporting them.

We look forward to an enjoyable and informative day for students.
