Principal's message

Kylie O'Donnell

Dear Parents and Carers

This week I am excited to inform the community that I will be taking long service leave to travel to Europe to visit my eldest daughter, April who is studying in Berlin. My leave will begin Monday 18 September and I will return to school Monday 30 October. I am really looking forward to seeing April as she departed Sydney at the beginning of March. My husband, Pete and younger daughter, Georgie will be my travel buddies to London where we will reunite with April. The four of us will then spend time in London, Amsterdam and Munich before touring eastern Europe.

In my absence, I am delighted to announce that Ms Frost will be the acting principal and Mrs McClure will step into the acting assistant principal’s role.

Uniforms - full winter uniform

Earlier in the week I visited classes talking to the students about general behaviour and in particular the way we speak to one another. On my travels it became increasingly obvious that students are not wearing their full winter uniform on the days they are not dressed in sports uniform. I take this opportunity to remind you that ties are not optional, I am aware that our current school ties are not on elastic or velcro and require someone to knot them each day. This is a situation we are working to resolve with Yeronga, our uniform suppliers. In the meantime we have ties for sale in the second hand uniform shop for $5 and if, like me, you need to brush up on your Windsor Knot check out the following link.
