CRC Sydenham’s Vinnies Winter Sleepout

CRC Sydenham’s Vinnies Winter Sleepout
The Student Leadership Group would like to announce that Catholic Regional College Sydenham will be running their very own St Vinnies Winter Sleepout!
The Vinnies Winter Sleepout allows students to gage an understanding of the current issue of homelessness in our community, and experiencing the concept of ‘sleeping rough’ for a night. The students will engage in group discussions and work through activities, as well as sleep on the floors of the hall without the luxuries of their warm beds.
We’d like our students to embrace our school’s mission through shared leadership informed by compassion, fairness and justice to engender an understanding of respect for the dignity of all in our community. Our students are encouraged to involve themselves in this social justice initiative and apply to participate in our Vinnies Winter Sleepout.
Students who are interested in participating are asked to donate a minimum of $10 towards the St Vincent de Paul Society and bring an item of clothing to be donated as well.
The Sleep Out will be held Tuesday 29th August from 5pm to Wednesday 30th August 9am.
Students who would like to be involved, must apply through submitting the following application: https://forms.gle/nnszthWt8DvisFNv8
