Around Chang

On Monday the 26th of May Chang held a fundraiser to raise money for the new Joan Kirner Women's and Children's Hospital by allow students to wear a hoodie under their blazer or sports jacket and it was a great turnout. Although the initial goal was not reached, around $325 was raised for this event and amazing results were reached with the majority of students wearing hoodies to support this cause. What also happened was the selling of soft drinks and fairy floss which also contributed to the total amount raised. Chang is extremely thankful for those who helped organize this event as well as the students that chose to participate in this amazing event.

Year 11 Exams were the first VCE exams for the majority of the year 11s and what a stressful week it has been. It was quite challenging and it felt like an onslaught amount of studying was required to do well on the exams. In the end it all paid off, and hats off to you for completing your first set of VCE exams and if you did well and surpassed expectations well done, and if you didn’t, you tried your best and that’s all that matters and you will get your expected mark next time, just keep studying hard and don’t give up. Alongside year 11 exams, the GAT happened in the same week, where all students completing units 3 and 4 of any subject would need to complete the GAT and it was a long and exhausting 3 hours which really challenged everyone. Regardless of the results, everyone will be able to relax and have fun on the College’s Feast Day.

Sports Report

With dodgeball being the name of the game and Chang in it, Chang has been dominating cluster sports recently, just taking out both Bradman and Dunlop in two consecutive days who were previously both in the grand finals of the last cluster sport event. Chang has been putting on an exhibition and is constantly working to climb higher and to achieve better in cluster sports and it has paid off, working as a unit and taking down anyone who dares steps in their way despite the disruptions with Year 11 Exams and the GAT week.
