Students of the Month

Madeline Puli B1 - Bradman

The Bradman Cluster would like to nominate Madeline Puli for student of the month. She is polite, kind and personable to all members of homeroom and staff. She is dedicated to her studies and is receiving excellent results due to her hard work. Maddie has emerged as a leader and has demonstrated a desire to further her faith development by attending the Catholic Youth Festival in Perth. An all-round awesome student – well done Maddie!

Caitlyn Poldi T1 - Truganini

Caitlyn is the homegroup leader of T1. She has been a great help to her homegroup teacher as well as her peers as she takes pride in her roles and responsibilities as a homegroup leader. She is well-liked by her peers and has never shied away from providing a helping hand or a listening ear to them. She is also a valued member of the Truganini cluster as she encourages the people around her to give cluster events a go. During the Year 11 retreat, several Truganini tutors have commented about her willingness to help both students and teachers with activities and chores.

Although Caitlyn had a challenging semester 1, she remains resilient and is determined to finish the year strong by managing her time and studies to the best of her ability. All in all, she is truly an asset to the Trugini cluster as well as the school. Keep up the positivity and determination!

Aws Bataq D2 - Dunlop

Dunlop 2 students are all highly impressed by Aws’ achievements and moved by his experiences. He and his family were forced to leave their homeland of Iraq and lost everything in the war. After four long years waiting in Lebanon Aws and his family came to Australia. They arrived in Sydney and after 6 months they came to live in Melbourne.

It amazes us that Aws has only been learning to speak English for less than one year!

Aws has many talents. As well as trying hard with his school work he works as a barber in St. Albans. He is also a very skilled plasterer and worked on many buildings while in Lebanon.

We are very lucky to have Aws, his twin brother Aysam and his sister Tera in Dunlop

Lucas Blackman M6 - Mackillop

The MacKillop Cluster’s student of the month is Lucas Blackman of M6. Lucas is our MacKillop Cluster Sports Captain, and well deserves this title. Lucas has demonstrated many leadership skills not only through sport, but also in the classroom, as a peer, student and friend to all that are around him. Lucas has been committed to the projects and activities that M6 has undertaken so far this year, and continues to provide support to his peers when they need it most. Lucas has also contributed in various extra-curricular activities such as the St Patrick’s Day Mass, various SACCSS Sporting teams in both player and supporting roles, assisting staff with sporting activities, and many more. Lucas has showcased all the MacKillop values such as faith, social justice and service to our community. We look forward to witnessing Lucas’ progression throughout the remainder of the year.

Lauren D’lima W2 - Winton

Lauren has been an integral member of W2. Her bright and bubbly attitude never cease to bring a smile to those around her. She works very hard in her studies and is a willing participant in many aspects of College life. Lauren recently took part in the SACCS Girls Football, and has been a valued helper in the Feast Day Stall. She is always ready to help her classmates and can be located most often in the company of her close group of friends enjoying a laugh. Well done Lauren.

Isabella Zurzolo C4 - Chang

Chang 4 would like to commend Isabella for being the student of the month. Isabella is an integral part of C4, she displays outstanding community spirit and always gives her heart and soul to everything she does. We are so delighted to have Isabella in our homeroom, her relentless passion for helping is contagious and her initiative to make a difference in all aspects of the college is heart-warming. Isabella was part of the 2019 school production Les Misérables, making us all so proud of her commitment and exceptional talent. We cannot wait to see what else Isabella is capable of and we are so overjoyed that she is part of the Catholic Regional College School Community.
