We have again been successful in the summer sports of cricket, volleyball, tennis and softball, with multiple teams competing really strongly and winning to get through to the next round.

Cricket – The Senior Cricket team were champions in the first round securing a spot in the NMR round where they played really well making it into the Grand Final. Unfortunately, they came up against SEDA Sport College in the Grand Final where we lost. The Inter Cricket team played well to secure a spot in the final of the first round but unfortunately Mernda College took the win on the day. Our Year 7 and year 8 teams both played well with the Year 7s finishing as runners up and the Years 8s going through to the final of the first round to be played on 16th March.

Tennis - Our Senior Tennis teams kicked off the year with a win for both girls and boys to secure a place in the NMR round. Unfortunately, as this falls on the day of our School Athletics Day the girls will not be able to take part. The Year 7 girls’ and boys’ teams both played well and finished second place. The Inter Girls team finished 2nd and the Inter Boys Tennis came first and now go through to the NMR round next term.

Volleyball – Despite our Senior Volleyball teams playing some fantastic volleyball, they both lost top spot to very competitive Thomastown Teams. Our Year 7 boys’ team played together for the first time, playing 6 games on the day and finishing in 4th place. The Inter Girls won 1 game and lost 6 games and the Inter Boys team won 6 games and lost 1 game but unfortunately finished 2nd overall so will not go onto the NMR round.

Swimming – Stephanie Jacobson in Year 12 represented the school for swimming finishing 1st in all her events. She will now go on to the NMR on the 24th March, we wish her all the best for this.

Softball – Our Inter Girls Softball have been working hard and have made it through to the NMR round which will be held next term.
