Captains Jyan Green and Tenielle McGuire with Harvey
When I first found out I was Term 2 captain I was very excited but nervous at the same time because after Jyan and I were elected we had a slip of paper with the rest of the assembly to perform or say.
Being Term 2 captain is very exciting because in Term 2 a lot of things are happening, such as the Dreamtime game. We don’t know what’ll happen though because of Covid so hopefully we can go on the field. There are also some fun things happening, but, I can’t say!
Overall being Term 2 captain is a really fun job to do, the past few weeks have flown by.
I am very grateful for being one of the Term 2 school captains and I would like to encourage next terms captains and beyond that it will be a great experience being captains at MITS.
It is going to be very sad to resign from school captain for next Term, but also fun because they will take on the responsibilities us Term 2 and 1 Captains had.
So if you come to MITS in the next few years and beyond, don’t be afraid to go your hardest for Term 2 because it is an amazing opportunity and you will be missing out! So don’t get shame when Term 2 captain elections come!

Term 2 Captain
When I first got selected I was very shocked because my captain's speech was kind of a joke, and I also knew that being a captain would be hard work.
What I’ve done so far was running the assemblies with the other school captain (Tenielle). Also carrying the homework box which is the worst. Being school captain is AWESOME because you have so many opportunities.
What it means to me is helping others out and meeting new people. To me it feels good coming to MITS and then getting this amazing opportunity to be captain as well. I get so nervous when it comes to doing the speaking
part. Thank you, goodbye.
