On the Friday 8 September Mount St. Joseph Girls' College hosted and competed in the SCSA Lacrosse competition at Paisley Park Lacrosse field, Altona North.

We entered 3 Junior teams (Years 7-9) and 2 Senior teams (Years 10-12), that competed against schools from Presentation College Windsor, Academy, Sion, Mater Christi and Star of the Sea throughout the day.

Each team played in 9 games with two seven minute halves, with our Junior A team winning the Grand Final 5-0 against Sion. Bethany McDonald won Most Valuable Player Award in the final for Mount st. Joseph Girls' College.

MSJ Junior Team  B played off for 3rd and 4th and lost a close final 3-2 to Star of the Sea to come 4th, which was a great effort by our girls.

At Senior level, MSJ 1 played off for 3rd and 4th position v Sion, winning a close game 4-3, having narrowly missed out on making the Grand Final, in which Presentation College Windsor defeated Academy 7-5.

All our teams competed with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship throughout a long day of competition, and a big thanks to our coaches, Mr Piazza, Ms Baka, Mrs Sofarnos, Mrs Sexton and Ms Hawkins who were essential oin hosting the day and ensuring everything ran smoothly for the 20 school teams competing.
