Success Stories

Scouting Award

Congratulations to MSJ student Emilie Washington from the 1st Point Cook Venturer Unit for earning the Queen's Scout Award, a milestone in a young member's Scouting journey. Only a small percentage reach this level. Emilie is one of the top achievers among Scouting's 47 million members globally.

Emilie will be invited at a later date to attend a ceremony presided over by the Governor of Victoria, to receive her Royal Certificate.

Well done Emilie on an outstanding effort over many years to reach this level.

Recipe for Success

Congratulations to Year 11 student, Stephanie Heaney, whose recipe was selected to appear in Life on a Plate, a cookbook to be published by Hobsons Bay Libraries. Stephanie submitted her recipe for “Chocolate Protein Balls”, an energy dense snack to keep your brain fuelled for study. Stephanie was very excited about her successful submission, including the opportunity to sit for a professional photograph. She told Hobsons Bay Libraries: “I love creating quick and healthy recipes and believe healthy foods can taste amazing!” The opportunity to appear in the cookbook is fabulous promotion for her business, StephMarieEats.
