Aimon Dowling - Victorian U16 Baseball Team

Congratulations to Aimon Dowling in 10J who was selected in the Victorian U16 Baseball team.

Aimon and the Victorian team competed in the Australian Youth Championships at Redcliffe Qld between June 4th – 9th.

Aimon was one of the starting pitchers for Victoria and, therefore, saw a lot of action. He had a great time with his teammates throughout the week, with Victoria making it all the way to the Gold medal game. Victoria earned themselves a Silver medal with a 12 – 6 loss to NSW in the final. Whilst, it was disappointing not to win, Aimon and the team were proud of their achievement and are very happy with the overall result.

Aimon is very keen to pursue and develop his interest in baseball and we wish him all the very best in his future endeavours.

Is has been a great performance by Hannah who participated in a structured trial process to be selected to represent Team Vic. And rewards Hannah for her consistent effort as she was also selected for the U16 side last year, but was forced to miss the competition due to Covid restrictions.

Many past School Sport Victoria team members have gone on to compete at national and international competitions, including Olympics, World Championships and Commonwealth Games.

So, here’s hoping that Hannah and their Victorian teammates can achieve their personal goals and that Hannah may be representing Australia in the years to come. Please wish her the best when you next see her.
