Senior Girls Region Football Update

We travelled to East Burwood Reserve on Monday the 18th of July, for the Eastern Metropolitan senior girls football competition.

It was such a great day seeing all the fantastic talent in the senior girls football program and the camaraderie between the students. The rainy weather didn’t stop the girls from finishing top of our pool. We are excited to play in the grand final next Tuesday, the 26th of July.

Our first game against Brentwood Secondary was a close one, but we ultimately came away with the win. It was great to see all the girls hand-balling and bringing every player into the game.

Our second game against Mullauna College was another great game by the girls. Especially our back liners that shut down every one of their marks and goal attempts.

Overall, so impressed with our team efforts and am definitely looking forward to seeing them take the final by storm on Tuesday. Great job girls!!

Region Cross Country

On the 14th of June over 40 students competed in Region Cross Country at Yarra Glen Racecourse. We were blessed with a nice day which made it easier on the students when they were running. The representation from Ringwood Secondary was second to none and it was awesome to see so many Ringwood tops as the students ran through the finish line.

Congratulations to those that competed on the day, your efforts were highly commended by the staff members that came along.

Congratulations to the following students who made it through to State and will be competing at Yarra Glen again on the 14th of July:

  • Rebekah Lim-Spong (2nd)
  • Natalie Barr (7th)
  • Ellie Boucher (12th)
  • Sienna Koh (4th)
  • Mia Busch (6th)
  • Tegan McInerney (11th)
  • Angus Norman (5th)

Well done to the 15 girls, 17-20 girls and 17-20 boys who won as a team!

A massive thankyou to Mr Saunders and Mrs Jennings who came along to help and support our students. Good luck to those running at state!
