Attendance 

The school leaders want to talk to the school community about attendance:

We want to talk to you about the importance of being at school all day, every day. Attending school every day gives you the best chance to succeed in your learning.

• Students who have 80% attendance, take on average one day off per week. This equates to 2 and a half years of missed school by the time you get to year 12!

• Students who have 90% attendance, take on average one day off per fortnight. This equates to 1 and a half years of missed school by the time you get to year 12!

Having some days off doesn’t seem like a big deal, but it all adds up and it has a negative impact on your learning.

You MUST talk to your coordinator if you’re struggling with getting to school, they can help you!

So to wrap it up, every day counts and it’s not ok to be away!
