VCAL Team building in OHS

As part of Outcome 3 in Unit 1, undertake a self-directed, complex OHS project, our VCAL Senior students have begun a group-based project designed to enhance skills, knowledge, and attributes in preparation for progression to further learning or employment.

Our students are planning an OHS specific promotional campaign by designing a series of awareness posters with illustrations and photos about OHS in a workplace. The main learning goal from this project is to enhance teamwork and communication skills, to learn how to share ideas and responsibilities and know how to work together toward a collective goal in an efficient manner.   

Students are required to write a project plan, implement actions, work constructively in small, targeted groups, design an OHS poster, oral presentation to class and evaluate the goals.  Working in teams is an essential part of most employment functions. Skills in team building are essential for our students.
