General Capabilities Day

On Thursday April 1st we will be holding our Australian Curriculum General Capabilities Day.

During this day, students in years 8-10 will be undertaking different learning experiences which support them in their development of the Australian Curriculum General Capabilities. These activities include a presentation from the Carly Ryan Foundation, focusing on safety on the internet.

Students requiring One Child Plans (students with an identified learning or physical disability and students identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander) will also meet with their teachers to develop their OCOP goals. Parents and caregivers of these students will be invited to attend their OCOP session. They will be advised of the time and location in an additional note.

Year 11 and 12 students will spend the day working on private study in the study class, with support and under supervision.

Year 12 students who have home study privileges have permission to study from home on this day, but are welcome to attend school for support and access to resources.

If you would like more information please feel free to contact Sonja Mercer at Peterborough High School on 86512306 or sonja.mercer798@schools.sa.edu
