Lake Illawarra High School have a Student News Team! The News Team, consisting of students from Years 7 - 12, report and compose articles about school and community events. Our team is passionate about journalism and seek to provide our community with information concerning the many inspirational students and staff members at our school.

To read the fantastic stories, articles, and reports from our Student News Team! Abbey Hargrave, Year 9, recently reported on the baby chickens at LIHS. This story is available to read on the Home Page, as well as the News tab on the website. The website also contains a ‘Subject Scoop’ with updates on what’s happening in each subject. There is a ‘Teacher Feature’ page, on the website, containing information on the incredible teachers and staff members at LIHS. Finally, there is an ‘About’ tab on the website with information about our dedicated Student News Team and a form for individuals to use if they have news tips for the team. This is a fantastic initiative and our News Team student have put in a lot of efforts to create an innovative and informative website.
