SCSA Athletics

On Friday 14 May, our very enthusiastic Athletics team headed to Lakeside Stadium to participate in the SCSA Division 2 Athletics Carnival. While the forecast was not great we were very fortunate to have sunny skies for most of the day with the rain only coming for the last couple of relays.

We had many fantastic individual performances on the day with lots of girls placing in their events. Congratulations to all members of the team for not only their performance but also for their team spirit and willingness to help out and fill events when necessary.

SEGAP Badminton

The Badminton teams have won various sets in their pairs. However, some teams have been too strong for Kilbreda. Our girls have definitely learnt many more 'tactical skills' over the last few weeks.

SEGAP Futsal

The Futsal teams have also had mixed results. The Junior Futsal team lost 5-0 in their first game against SHGC. The Intermediate team won their first game against SHGC but then lost to Killester 3-1 and OLSH 9-1.

We are still waiting on the grand final games for next week. This information will be emailed to the students as soon as possible.

House Sport

House Fun Run

On Tuesday 25 May morning the House Fun Run took place at Karkarook Park. This was the first year the event was held here and the beautiful scenery and flat terrain made for a good course.

The Year 9 to 12 runners went first with Siorcha Creaton dominating from the start to be first home with Millie Horan and Georgia Robinson rounding out the places in the Senior division.

In the Intermediate run it was Stella Mackay first past the post with Leah Allan and Rebecca Goodchild not far behind.

In the Junior competition Jacinta Crowley was a runaway winner with Keiska Grunberg in 2nd place and Sienna Davis in 3rd for the Year 7 students. Jasmine Perry won the Year 8 race with Ava Altamura and Madison Barber finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Congratulations to all girls who ran or walked or ran and walked!

In the House competition Brigid were the clear winners on 149 points with the other houses all quite close behind - Kildare (102), Tullow (99) and Delany (95).
