Diocesan Cricket Trials

The Armidale Diocesan Cricket trials will go ahead on Monday 19 July in Tamworth. We wish Will Kentwell and Evan Burgess all the best for these trials. COVID Restrictions will be in place and are guided by the NSW Health advice. Unfortunately, no spectators are permitted at this event, but spectators are welcome to sit inside their vehicle, at the boundary of the venue, for the duration of the trials. 

 

Year 3-10 Athletics Carnival

The Year 3-6 School Athletics Carnival will be held at the Sporting Complex. It will be on Thursday 29 July   starting at approx. 9:15am. Unfortunately, due to the new Covid-19 restrictions families are not permitted to attend. The children will be transported by bus and will be supervised by staff. Students are to compete in age groups – 8\9 years, 10 years, 11 years & 12 years. Track events include 800m, 200m, 100m & house relays. Most ages will also compete in some novelty events where time permits and do not clash with races. Events will begin with the 800m followed by the other events. Students are to wear their full school sports uniform, but may wear house colour T-shirts on the day (Johns – yellow, Marks – red, Pauls – blue, Leos – Green). Children should bring their hat, sunscreen and water bottle. As there is limited seating, children may wish to bring a picnic blanket or chair to sit on. If your child suffers from asthma they should bring their own Ventolin. A canteen will be available on the day. All field event finals will be held Friday 16 June at school on the back oval.

 

Year 2 King Fit

This term as part of their sports program, children in Year 2 will be starting sessions with Nick King on Friday, 16 July. At the centre they will work on strength, balance and locomotion activities. Cost is $3.00 each week. Please pay your child’s classroom teacher on a weekly basis. They will go for 5 weeks over the term. Students will be transported by bus to and from the centre. All essential adults in attendance will be wearing a mask, sign in using the Service NSW QR code and maintaining social distancing.

Secondary Sport

HTS Athletics Carnival

The Holy Trinity Athletics Carnival is on Thursday 29 July at the Inverell Sports Complex. Students will be completing track events on the day including the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m and 1500m. Students are to wear their full school sports uniform but may wear house colour T-shirts on the day (Johns – yellow, Marks – red, Pauls – blue, Leos – green). Students should bring a hat, sunscreen and water bottle. If your child suffers from asthma they should bring their own Ventolin. A canteen will be available on the day. ​​​​​​​Field events will be completed at school on Thursday 15 July from 11:40am - 3:20pm.

 

Cochrane Cup Rugby League and Diocesan League Tag

The previously postponed Diocesan activities in Moree are on Tuesday 20 July. Good luck to all students involved in the Cochrane Cup Rugby League and Diocesan League Tag. A reminder students need to be at the Inverell Tourist Information Centre at 6:50am to leave at 7:00am.
