Peer Support

Each Tuesday for the next 5 weeks, students from Year 2 to Year 6 will be participating in the Peer Support program starting next Tuesday for 25 minutes. Peer Support is a program, which provides a fun engaging environment for young people to address social issues. Two trained Year 6 leaders, supervised by a teacher, facilitate structured activities with multi-aged groups (Year 2-5) of approximately 10 students. Next week students get to know everyone in their group, agreeing on how they will work together and interact cooperatively with others. We encourage parents and carers to talk to your children about Peer Support each week to reinforce the concepts learned in each session.

Reports

All students should have received their reports, either at the end of last term or today. Please contact the school if you have any concerns or queries regarding this.

Collecting Children From School

A reminder that school finishes at 3:20pm. All parents need to wait outside the school gates due to Covid-19 restrictions. It is fine to wait at the front of the school if you are collecting children. Students are supervised at waiting tree and bus lines until 3:45pm. If you are running late to collect your child, can you please contact the office. A number of the children are becoming confused as to whether they should be on the bus or are being collected at the ‘Waiting Tree/Kiss and Drop Zone’. It would be helpful if you could send a note with your child if this changes day-to-day so as they can check where the correct place is if they get confused.

Winter Uniform

Students should be in full school winter uniform. If you have any issues with this or your child is out of uniform for a particular reason, could you please send in a note to their classroom teacher or speak to Mrs Dal Santo. This includes ties. All students must wear black leather/vinyl shoes. Joggers are suitable for sports day.
