Feedback on the Co-Curricular Program

Expression of Interest in Coaching, Managing or Umpiring

Blackfriars is looking for parents, family, friends or Old Scholars to assist in the Co-curricular Program. If you have expertise or knowledge of a particular co-curricular activity and would like to be involved through coaching, managing or umpiring, please send an email to mparrella@bps.sa.edu.au. All positions are paid and include one training session and game per week for coaches.

 

First XI Cricket Blackfriars vs CBC Intercol Test Match

The annual First XI Cricket Blackfriars vs CBC Intercol Test Match was held on Monday 2 to Wednesday 4 December at CBC Main Oval. Both teams played exceptional cricket and performed well with the bat and ball throughout the match. Blackfriars lost the 2019 Intercol Test Match Trophy.

 

First Innings

CBC 191 (O. Gray 3/41, J. Stodden 2/27, D. Bignell 2/33)

Blackfriars (D. Bignell 54*, O. Stevens 18, A. Amiri 16)

Blackfriars trailed by 78 runs

Second Innings

CBC 182 (D. Bignell 5/38, J. Stodden 2/19)

Blackfriars 196 (O. Gray 56, D. Bignell 40, O. Stevens 26*)

Blackfriars lost by 69 runs

 

Congratulations to Dylan Bignell who was awarded the Best Player of the Test Match.

Well done to the entire squad who each played their part in the game. We farewell one Year 12 student that made up part of our 2019 First XI Cricket team – Gurender Singh.

 

The Intercol Test Match team comprised of Oscar Gray (Captain), Julian Cornish, Michael Nong, Cooper O’Leary, Ryan Ross, Amir Amiri, Dylan Bignell, Isaac Lawrence, Oscar Stevens, Joshua Stodden and Magnus Lyons.

 

 

First XI Cricket Awards

Congratulations to Gurender Singh on winning the 2019 First XI Cricket Best and Fairest.
