Library News

So here we are at the end of the term, and of the school year. And as usual, the libraries are busy places. We are dealing with all the text book returns, primary school resource returns, stocktaking, and all the everyday normal routines.  On that note, a reminder to all for one final look around at home for any library books that may still be laying about, hiding under beds, or fallen behind the sofa. The library is open every day next week until 4 pm, Friday 14 December, so books can be returned anytime up to then.

A change I would like to draw your attention to is the new library website. The update of the school’s website provided a great opportunity for the library homepage to be revamped as well. Please take the time to have a look and become familiar with the new layout. You can have a look here at https://library.blackfriars.sa.edu.au/

I’d like to take the opportunity to thank the wonderful library team here at Blackfriars for all their work this year, my first as Teacher Librarian ELC-12. Working across two libraries requires a lot of help, support, and lots of flexibility, and I certainly have appreciated the assistance of Ms Kate Haskey, Miss Kirsty Adderley and Mr Michael Champion. Thank you all very much.

I’d also like to wish everyone a happy Christmas, and all the best for the new year of 2020. If you are interested in some holiday reading, give this site a try. It gives you suggestions of books that are set in different countries….so you can travel whilst staying at home….
