Isn't it amazing to be back at school! The P&F committee have a few things organised for Term 4, you can read all about it below.

Happy World Teacher's Day!

The staff at Rolling Hills Primary are just amazing, and have worked so hard this year, in such difficult times.   We are a truly thankful to have such dedicated leaders and teachers at RHPS.  It was such a gorgeous site to see all the home made cards and hand picked flowers this morning! Thank you everyone for helping us recognise our amazing teaching staff at RHPS with your heartfelt messages of appreciation.

 

Christmas Pop Up Stall...

At the end of November, the P&F will be hosting a Christmas Pop Up Stall at school. There will be a variety of items to purchase.  We will communicate the details as we get closer to the date. Watch this space!

 

As part of the Christmas Pop up Stall, we have been taking pre-orders for Christmas tee shirts and felt Christmas Trees.  These orders close on the 6th November so please return your forms in ASAP. We are nearly sold out of Christmas Trees!  There are spare order forms at the office if needed.

 

On Tuesday 1st December, there will also be a Christmas themed dress up day! Your child will be invited to wear a touch of Christmas to school, including a Christmas themed T-shirt. 

 

Tracy Lynch Photography Fundraiser...

The Tracy Lynch Photography fundraiser is going ahead on the weekend of November 28th & 29th 2020. The event is nearly booked out, so if you’d like to have some lovely pictures ready for Christmas, get in quickly.

We need your help....

The P&F committee would like to raise the money to purchase a new playground for RHPS. To do this, we will need the support of the  school community.  

 

What does the Parents & Friends Association do?

  • The Parents and Friends Association is a friendly, dynamic group that are committed to making our school a positive, fun and supportive place for all families.
  • Throughout the year, we promote a sense of community between students, staff, parents and the wider school community.
  • We organise events for the children, parents and families as well as raising funds for the benefit of RHPS.
  • We hold monthly meetings where we discuss and organise upcoming events.

 

The P&F team have lots of fun and enjoy a social catch ups as well. There is often a lot of laughing and informal chat as well as formal organising of events.  We create a supportive network for parents. It’s such a wonderful way to get to know other parents and families within the school.  I originally joined the P&F in 2019 because we were new to the school and I wanted to meet some people and make new friends…. I’ve never looked back! I love being part of this awesome bunch of people.  

 

What’s in store for 2021….

We have lots of fun events planned for the children, parents and wider community. A few of the upcoming events are: a family movie night, a Parent’s Trivia night and a big Christmas Fete… and more! If you’d like to be involved, or have some great Fundraising ideas, we’d LOVE to have you on our team!  All the money raised from these events will go towards the goal of purchasing a new playground.

 

Annual General Meeting

We are holding our AGM on Tuesday 10th November. The meeting will be held on Zoom this year, so you don’t even need to leave the comfort of your own home.  We will be hosting a P&F meeting directly after the short AGM. 

 

If you’d like to meet some new people and help organise an event or two, please consider coming along to our AGM.  We would love to see some new faces (or even returning faces) join our amazing team for 2021.   You only need a small amount of time and all contributions are appreciated. 

 

 

Spoonville...

 

Thanks so much to all the wonderful people who helped create Spoonville 2.0! It is definitely on it's way to becoming a Spoon Metropolis! Please feel free to continue to add Spoon people to the village. Sparking joy one spoon at a time!
