Amazing Aladdin

On Wednesday 31st May, a group of Year 7 to 10 students escaped into the world of Agrabah for a captivating and entertaining musical performance of Aladdin. Beginning with a busy train ride to the city, and the exploration of Melbourne Central Shopping Centre, we patiently occupied ourselves as we waited for the show to begin.

When it was finally time to enter the theatre we were greeted by a stunning colourful pre-set stage which immediately had our hearts racing as the performance began. The ensemble drew us back into our childhood memories as the famous songs

we all knew and loved were performed in a magical and enticing manner.

Costumes of all colours and patterns glistened underneath the stage lights as the cast sang and danced their way through the well known story.

We could never forget the Genie's comedic performance as he sang the song "Friend like me" amongst a mountain of gold, nor Aladdin and Jasmine on a magical carpet ride delivering the song "A Whole New World".

After the show was over, we shuffled our way through the crowds outside to be greeted by the cast as they signed authographs and we took pictures.

We then had another busy train ride home, still awed by the magnificent performance we had had the privilege to see that day...one we will not forget anytime soon!
