Holiday Reading

Holidays are a great time to catch up on some reading and we have a great selection of new titles on display.

These include the latest Robert Newton title "Mr Romanov's Garden in the Sky" - did you know that Robert is a full time MFB fireman, lives in Mt Martha and writes on his days off!  His stories are often based on real life people he has researched and/or those he has met during his work.

If you get a chance to hear him talk then it is worth going along ad he is very engaging and entertaining.  Other titles by Robert include The Black Dog Gang, Runners, and Saturday Morning Mozart and Burnt Toast.

Manga Artwork

Thank you to the Year 7 Steiner class who created these magnificent Manga artworks which have been on display in the library this term.  Check out the books on display if you would like to get some inspiration on creating your own artworks over the holidays.

Film vs Book

There is always a debate about which is better and/or which we should do first - read the book or watch the movie?  There are obviously some favourites and some hits and misses with this.  Here's a link to a quiz that you might enjoy - Match the Film with the Original

Reader Activities

Both Frankston Library and the Mornington Peninsula Libraries offer great holiday programs for students.  Holidays are also a great opportunity to explore their other services and resources offered to students.

Did you know that the oldest existing bookmark dates from the 6th century AD and yes, there are even 'bookmarks' on your ereaders!

Students and staff are welcome to select a bookmark from our display...free with every book borrowed!
