Kia Ora Friends

Our thoughts go out again to everyone in our west Auckland, Auckland and further-afield communities regarding the challenges and heartbreaks caused by the recent Cyclone Gabrielle events. You have again shown resilience, courage and community spirit in the face of adversity.

Please let us know if there is anything our school can do to assist you in the aftermath.

It has been a stressful and unsettling time for families and for our staff too. The best we can do here is to be positive and get things as much back to normal as possible.

We had one shade sail destroyed by the gale-force winds, and some trees in our bush area will have to be removed.

We appreciated the beautiful weather on Friday, which allowed us to have our Junior School Fun Morning and our middle and senior school trip to Point Erin Pools. There are a couple of pages on these events later in our newsletter.

We really appreciated seeing such an awesome parent turnout for both events - especially the Junior School Fun Morning. We were really grateful for the opportunity to meet many of you and have a chat and a catch-up.

It was nice to be able to invite lots of you personally to the Kai and Talanoa - Chat and a Snack - evening we have planned for Thursday, 23 February, from 7 to 8 pm in our ILE.

More on this on a page later in our newsletter.

As always - if you have questions or concerns about anything school-related - email me at macash@mac.com, and I will get back to you asap.

My very best regards to you all,

Ash Maindonald

Principal.
