Storm

We were pretty fortunate that the cyclone did not hit us too hard at Western Heights. A few trees were uprooted in our native bush area, and one shade sail was blown to shreds.

We tried to get these taken down before the cyclone hit, but the shade sail company was overrun with work, and then had equipment failure.

When the sail tore loose, it could not be secured without a high ladder. Going up a pole on a ladder in a gale-force wind with steel ropes flying around was not something my wife was prepared to let me do 😇.

On a positive property note, our teachers in rooms 31 to 34 have undertaken a Pay It Forward project with their children, to beautify the deck areas outside their classrooms.

They have done a pretty stunning job.
