Room 4 is organising our World Vision collection! We collect coins from your class every Friday for Morsalin and Djeneba - any loose coins are very much appreciated! Thanks for your support,

Lauren Nummy

Our communities in West Auckland have had a real hammering from the floods, and I am sure some of the children turning up for the new school year will be feeling the effects of that.

I thought this summary of welfare and practical support available to our community might be useful for you: https://visionwest.org.nz/auckland-flood-support-information

It is up to date and has been put together by the good people at Vision West.

Be aware also there is a very well-staffed and organised Civil Defence Centre at Hub West, 27 Corban Avenue, Henderson, with MSD and other agencies on hand to provide help.

Also please feel free to call on my electorate office if any of your families need advocacy or support, or if you are not sure of where to go for help with a particular problem. We are able to refer people to the best places to go for support, and we advocate directly on a wide range of issues. You can email the office on phil.twyford@parliament.govt.nz or phone the number below.

My best wishes for the new school year.
