Music Update

MUSIC DATES FOR 2023

Wednesday 14th June – Mid-Year music concert

Tuesday 12th September – Year 12 Music Soiree

Thursday 30th November – Music Festival

LESSON UPDATES

YEAR 7 STUDENTS: 

Year 7 students have now had their trial lesson on an instrument. If you would like your student to enrol in lessons for the year please respond to the email that you were sent after their lesson or contact the instrumental music leader directly. Junior Band rehearsals will begin at the beginning of term 2 for Year 7 students. PRODUCTION BAND

Auditions for the production band are open to students in years 9 and above. Those students wishing to audition need to see the music teachers to collect the audition piece and then record themselves playing that piece. The auditions then need to be uploaded via the google form: https://forms.gle/J14zDgsA74T4hW8u7

YEAR 11 MUSIC CLASS

The Year 11 music class will be performing the song 'You never can tell' for assessment next Wednesday the 29th March at 9.30am. This performance will be live streamed. The link for the live stream will be shared via the EMC facebook page and also the college website.

ENSEMBLE REHEARSALS

All ensembles rehearsals have commenced at the following times.

Senior Band: Monday 3.15 - 4.30pm

Intermediate Band: Tuesday 3.15 - 4.15pm

Vocal Ensemble: Monday lunchtime

Guitar Ensemble: Monday lunchtime

Stage band: Wednesday 7.45 - 8.30am
