December 2021
It is hard to believe that the end of the year is fast approaching and this is the final iNewsletter for 2021! While the term and year for that matter has passed very quickly the students in Prep to 2 have been very busy over the past few weeks with many different activities and experiences packed in to finish the year off.
During the past few weeks all the students from across each campus had the opportunity to take part in an inflatable cricket session. This was a fantastic and engaging session for all our students who no doubt came home talking of the fun they had during the day it was at their campus.
The Preps were very lucky in being able to attend an excursion that was booked earlier in the year to the Marine Discovery Center in Queenscliff. With a focus on earth and space science this term, students have been exploring land features and how to care for our environment. During the excursion the prep students looked at the effect rubbish can have on our marine life and the different kinds of animals that live in our oceans and rock pools.
Many of the Prep to 5 students have completed or are about to complete a five day swimming program at Norlane Pool. This program is always thoroughly enjoyed by all the students and so far has been another great success. The students learn extremely valuable lessons in water safety and build on their skills from previous years. A big thanks to the P.E team for organising this.
As part of end of year celebrations the Prep to 2 students will be having a special Christmas lunch at school over the last few weeks of the term.
This will be a catered hot lunch with a few Christmas activities to be a part of the day as well.
